Deawing for bracket Bracket iinstructions
Truck Completed Photos
The installation is almost complete. The compressor as seen in the last photo needs to be connected to the cold lines and the clutch wire pluged in. I needed to have a small cutom riser bracket made ( I had one from an old shifter mount) to finish the installation. It is being made by my friend Jimmy at Red Pepper Forge in North East Md. See below for photo and drawing of the riser bracket needed. On the diagram on the right below, the part labeled 3 is bolted to the engine block. The problem is its location. The compressor hits the steering column tube. Rasing it 2.5 inches giave me just the right clearance.

The Crosley is getting Air Conditioning !
This is a Fathers day present from my wife !
The Installation began on June 12, 2017. The unit are from Cold Master in Largo Florida. Their under dash units are about 1/2 the cost of Vintage Air. ( fan shroud not inclueded)
The condenser and dryer will be on the back panel with a fan and a shroud i had custom made.
The compressor is a Sanden 508. I found "Old Car Air Products" on line from San Antonio, Texas who has a compressor bracket for a 1955 6 cylinder Chevy that will fit my Chevy 153 4 cylinder engine with addition of 2 riser brackets for the compressor mount.. The staff at Old Air Products VERY helpful with the bracket selection.
